the power of being supported

The Story Well

I always knew what lit me up. The hard part was letting myself follow it.

When I look back at my life, it was always so obvious what excited me and what didn’t.
But trusting my excitement as a signpost… giving myself permission to follow it… that was surprisingly hard and created so much inner conflict.

And yet I had no choice but to follow my enthusiasm. Otherwise I had no energy.

Still, I questioned it constantly—worrying that following my joy made me selfish, foolish, or unrealistic.

But the truth is… even as a child I already knew the difference between “hell yes” and “I wish I cared but I simply do not one bit.”

Before I was ten, I was endlessly curious about:

  • people and psychology

  • languages, travel

  • world religions

  • the mysteries of humanity

Sometimes I wish I could whisper into my own young ear…
It is safe to trust what lights you up.
It is safe to focus on what makes you feel alive.

🔥 And then life gave me a gift. I was only 20.

A person who believed in me long before I fully believed in myself.
My husband. My biggest supporter.
The one who kept reflecting back to me that my excitement had value.

✨ When I moved to France, he said he would wait.
✨ When I applied to study in Helsinki, he came to print the papers with me at the local library.
✨ When I said I needed to move to Japan, he joined me for a month and slept hidden in my tiny campus room.
✨ When I quit my job as an export assistant to continue my studies, he said he knew I could do it.
✨ When I had my first real passion exam in Brand Management, he left a good luck note on the kitchen table.
✨ When I said I needed to build my own company, he painted the walls and helped me design the space.

But most importantly, even when he had no clue what my business truly was, he always said:
I believe in you.

Do you know what it does to you when one person believes in you like that?

It strengthens you.
It allows you to trust your own spark. 🧨

Maybe that’s why I love supporting soulmate entrepreneurs so deeply. Because I know what it means to have someone by your side who wants you to be happy with their whole heart.
Someone who sees your magic before you fully do.
Someone who holds the vision with you. ❤️

reflection :

🦒 Where in your life have you quietly known what lights you up, but talked yourself out of it?

🦒 Who was the first person to truly believe in you? What did that shift for you?

🦒What would it feel like to move forward, not from strategy, but from spark?

If something in this story lit up something in you…
You don’t need to explain it.
Just follow it.

And if you're looking for the kind of support that believes in you before you fully believe in yourself.
That’s the space I hold in my mentoring.
